Pu'u O Hoku (Hill Of Stars) Ranch in Hawaii is a beautiful tropical Retreat facility dedicated to nourishing the mind, body and spirit, where deep renewal and inner focus are key. Our remote site on the eastern tip of Molokai is surrounded by 14,000 acres of pristine conservation land. ![]() Pu'u O Hoku's old-style Hawaiian Lodge and cottages sit atop hills gently rising from the sea, surrounded by gardens and spectacular ocean views. The location is perfectly suited for teachers to hold retreats, seminars and workshops where privacy, natural beauty and serenity are key elements. Besides hosting retreats, Pu'u O Hoku is a working organic ranch, HOFA certified for beef, vegetables, fruit and awa. Caring for the land is at the heart of our operations, as we believe that through nourishing the land we ultimately nourish all life and the Spirit. Yoga instruction, healing therapies, and all kinds of outdoor activities are available on request to increase the experience of retreat and renewal.
Miles of safe hiking trails are available throughout the ranch and delightful white sand beaches are a close drive away. Horseback trail rides are available throughout the ranch as well.The old style Hawaiian Lodge and buildings, under consideration for the National Historic register, were constructed in the 1930's for then owner Paul Fagan, found of the Hana Ranch and Hotel on Maui. Carefully maintained and preserved, the Lodge and adjacent cottages provide a unique retreat experience of Hawaii of old. There is a panorama of views from Pu u O Hoku's Lodge, with the ocean to the North and East and the island of Maui in the distance. The lodge includes a spacious main hall and meeting room with a large stone fireplace surrounded by relaxed seating and a library. Oversized French doors open along this meeting room to a beautiful covered lanai offering views of the ocean and comfortable seating and dining. Adjacent to the main hall, opposite the lanai, is a full sized swimming pool and patio area with outdoor seating and lounging. The Lodge itself has 11 bedrooms with a minimum sleeping capacity of 22. Within walking distance are 2 cottages in the same Hawaiian style, the Sunrise Cottage and the Grove House. |
